The LCD216S is designed as the display unit as easily integrable LCD in simple to advanced project. LCD216S can be used in Inverted RS232, noninverted RS232, SPI or IIC mode, giving user ultimate control of choosing the interface. The controller may be anything from a single board, special purpose microcontroller or a PC, depending on the application. The LCD261S provides a simple command structure to allow text Numbers and vertical bar graph to be displayed on the screen. Text fonts are built in, and use standard ASCII mapping. 8 user-defined characters may be generated. The screen is backlit for low-light situations. Backlighting may be turned on or off under program control. Contrast is adjustable to compensate for differing lighting conditions and viewing angles. To get higher level of control over LCD two different command protocols may be selected in software or tied down using hardware. User power on display screen can be setup and stored on onboard EEPROM.
